These photographs were used in City publications such as reports and internal newsletters. Sometimes, the images were used for external advertising of City services or programs. Many of the individual employee photographs were taken for identification cards. Collection includes:</dc:description><dc:description>Buildings/ Structures/ Locations = Buildings include City of Savannah buildings such as City Hall, the Broughton Municipal Building, and the Civic Center. There are also images of miscellaneous, non-City buildings. Structures include the Talmadge Bridge (old and new). Locations include parks, squares, and various street scenes.</dc:description><dc:description>City of Savannah (COS) = This series includes events that were City-sponsored or City-generated or relate to multiple bureaus. Included in this series are employee events, such as health fairs and training classes, and employee celebrations of holidays. This series also contains photographs of mayors, aldermen, and school groups. Also included are the events, employees, and programs of unidentified bureaus.</dc:description><dc:description>General = The General Series contains photographs of public city-wide events as well as programs or events that did not originate with the City.
