He recalls his training and early duty ranking Officer Candidate School candidates. His first duty in Vietnam was taking medical teams out into the villages to treat civilians. He describes the invasion of Cambodia and later duty escorting convoys. He remembers being wounded and describes some of the casualties his unit suffered.
