Most expenditures went to the construction of highways, roads, parks, public buildings, dams, and sewers. Other programs included literacy projects, vocational education, historical records surveys, and the arts. The Works Progress Administration was renamed the Work Projects Administration in 1937. Congress discontinued the agency in 1943.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>VIS 77.37.02</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ahc077037002a.jpg</dc:identifier><dc:publisher>Gay Bolling Shepperson Photographs, Atlanta History Center</dc:publisher><dc:relation>MSS 522, Gay Bolling Shepperson Papers, Kenan Research Center, Atlanta History Center</dc:relation><dc:subject>Children--1930-1940</dc:subject><dc:subject>Children--Clothing and dress</dc:subject><dc:subject>Teachers--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Nursery schools--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Organizations--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Play (Recreation)--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Sliding boards--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Seesaws--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Swings--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>Playgrounds--Georgia--Dublin</dc:subject><dc:subject>United States.
