In 1971, an anonymous donor had given the city $9,000,000 for the purchase and development of the land. It was later revealed that Robert W. Woodruff had donated the funds for the park and it was renamed in his honor in 1985.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>VIS 214.01.01</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ahc214001001a</dc:identifier><dc:publisher>Joseph Brown photographs of downtown Atlanta, Atlanta History Center</dc:publisher><dc:subject>Parks--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>Pedestrians--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>Vehicles--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>Streets--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>Sidewalks--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>Street lights--Georgia--Atlanta</dc:subject><dc:subject>African Americans--1970-1980</dc:subject><dc:subject>Automobiles--1970-1980</dc:subject><dc:subject>Healey Building (Atlanta, Ga.)</dc:subject><dc:subject>Fulton National Bank (Atlanta, Ga.)</dc:subject><dc:title>Central City Park</dc:title><dc:type>StillImage</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
