Mr. Darsey explains he had attended a small, ethnically homogenous middle school in Columbia, South Carolina. Conversely the Atlanta high school he attended had a large student body, ethnically diverse, and varied socio-economic classes. He discusses the political and environmental issues at the time. High school he recalls is the time he began to recognize his sexuality but never had a serious relationship until college.Mr. Darsey was born in Sarasota, Florida and moved to Atlanta, Georgia when he was in high school.
