Connally residence, on Ashby Street in West End, Georgia (later annexed into the city of Atlanta), was originally built by John Thrasher in 1858. In August 1864, Confederate General John B. Hood occupied the home. Dr. Connally purchased the residence in 1887 and subsequently remodeled it.
