Gatins, opened in 1911. Located at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, the hotel was designed by New York architect William L. Stoddard. The ten-story Parisian-style hotel closed in 1981 after a long decline and sat vacant for nearly a decade. In 1991, Atlanta developer Frank Howington restored the building as apartments and added a 19-story addition designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart & Associates. In 1999, the building was sold and subsequently converted back into a hotel.
