The new church was erected at the corner of Ponce De Leon and Piedmont Avenue. In 1929 the congregation had again become spread out and desired a new church. They sold the first church to the Central Congregational Church, and purchased land at Peachtree Road and Wesley Avenue (now East Wesley Road) and the new building, Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, was completed in 1930.
