Newton first describes the changes in the church over time while showing that the covenant between God and man has always stayed the same. The seal of that covenant for the Israelites was circumcision and under Christ it became baptism. Therefore, Newton argues, infant baptism has always been in effect. Newton notes numerous passages from the Bible which corroborate this point and then goes on to dismantle three common objections to this practice.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jp2</dc:format><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:subject>Infant baptism</dc:subject><dc:subject>Presbyterian Church in the U.S.--Theology</dc:subject><dc:subject>Parenting--Religious aspects--Presbyterians</dc:subject><dc:subject>Covenants--Religious aspects--Presbyterian Church</dc:subject><dc:subject>Circumcision--Religious aspects--Presbyterians</dc:subject><dc:title>Infant baptism</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
