After starting the season in September with one of the strongest teams in the conference, by midseason Coach Baldwin was left with a weak and undermanned team. Through much hard work and dedica- tion, that entailed practices twice a day, the team ended up with a respectable 4-3 dual meet record and a surprising runners-up finish in the Conference meet. ^*^-:-.^ft Mark Smithers 98 Mike Jones David Crowfoot Mark Haynes 99 SOCCER ^" JWWW^'!?WW mftfi'^ffHifM 100 101 BOTTOM ROW: Tick Anderson, Jim McKay, David Satterfield, Mike Austin, Steve Kennedy, Chris Reid, Wes Mizelle SECOND ROW: Coach Berkshire, Allen Ballingall, Paul Shoemaker, Jim Ziegler, Horace Shuman, Bob Wolfe, Pete Pullen, Coach Mcintosh THIRD ROW: Jeff Levy, David Plough BASKETBALL 102 103 104 ^^kTk^ .k. At the time of this writing, the team had not yet begun their outdoor season but had looked strong in indoor meets. Some authorities believed that a lack of numbers and depth would reflect in the team's record. Coach Baldwin and the team members looked forward to the upcoming season with confidence, however, hoping for their third straight undefeated season. :l^ 110 Ill INTRA- J-7- ^^ut .;-^ii. . -^ --' I'* M MURALS / ^^ ^ ''J=Ji v;^ i'\...-f-Y'-'4' '*' VN^ * '^S** 112 113 114 m 115 OSA BOTTOM ROW: Annette Fry, Blake Chrisloph, Lynn Johnson, Jack Skelton Christopher, Chris McFadden, George Green, Marie Hook, Mike Bahary, Bill SECOND ROW: Greg Fowler, Roger Dickerson, David Carroll, Moe Fraher, Kennon, Steve Prettyman, Dave Duty Kevin Fitzpatrick, Max Eidex, Leslie Jones, Annette Friant, Melanie 116 r * 'if* i^<' ^ s ^^^^^^t^r ^^Bk^^^.
