Jackie Wade Sara Stewart Connie Fillingim Our Band That Happy Day! Stomecoming _.. Was Successful We had our second annual Home- coming, Thursday, October 27, 1960. We celebrated with a parade, Bar-B-Cue and dance. The parade consisted of the school band, majorettes, and floats and cars from each grade level The ninth grade float won first place for the best float and re- ceived a prize of $15.00. The senior class won second place and re ceived a $10.00 prize. The eleventh was third and received $5.00. For the cars, F.B.L.A. came first, eighth grade homeroom 213 came second, and Bobbie Blount received honor- able mention. A Bar-B-Cue supper was held in the school auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 P. M. Everyone was invited. Following the Bar-B-Cue was a dance held in the school gym from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. The new 1960- 1961 Homecoming Queen was crowned. The lovely Connie Fillin- gim was crowned queen by Patsy Bruce, last years Homecoming Queen. Sara Stewart was first run- ner-up. Why work when you can dance?
