SjSPastor, Officiating avid McClain, Jr. was bom September 24, 1949 in Claxton, GA to the union of Laurie and David McClain, Sr. He attended Evans County, GA, public school system, graduating from Evans County Longhorns Highschool in 1968. David was retired from CSX Railroad. He was also a skilled brick mason, carpenter, and spent many years in home restorations. He was funny, loving, all around people person. He loved to danee, specifically swing. He had a very big heart and sacrificial spirit for his family and friends. He was not only father to his three children, but aeted as a father figure to Rasheda Willis (William), Carlos (Sharyn), Steven, and Janarvis (Sheriea) Battey, as well as many of his nieees and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Minnie Smith and Versie Dupont and daughter-in-law, Charmaine Smith. David answered the Lords call on March 31, 2022 after a sudden and short illness at St Josephs/Candler Hospital. David will be remembered for his laughter, dancing, singing, and comedic spirit! He leaves a life fall of precious memories to his devoted wife of 48 years, Almether MeClain; children, Katrena McClain Cutter (Antonious), Bruee Smith and Marlick MeClain, Sr. (Roseanna); siblings, Charlester McClain, Aaron McClain (Helen), and Penny Mobley; grandchildren, Ashley Hieks, Trevon Cutter, Marliek McClain, Jr, Mya McClain, and Allen J. Smith, his great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
