Walters Recessional Interment Cedar Creek Cemetery Manassas, Georgia THE OBITUARY "And know, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant" Calvin Foster Oxendine, Jr. was born April 12, 1950 in Claxton, Georgia to Emma Lee and Calvin Foster Oxendine, Sr. He attended the public schools of Evans County and in 1968, graduated from Evans County High School. After high school, Calvin Jr. attended Savannah Technical Col- lege and earned certification in automotive mechanics. In 1970, he joined the United States Navy as an Equipment Repairman. While in the Navy, Calvin Jr. he completed the Aviation Fleet Pre- paratory Course, Mobile Electric Power Plant Course, and Master Flight line Maintenance Course. He obtained the grade of Avia- tion Support Equipment Technician (Mechanical) and was award- ed the National Defense Service Medal. Receiving an Honorably Discharged in January 4, 1974, Calvin Jr. returned home and be- gan working at Georgia Pacific and International Paper as a heavy equipment operator. Undoubtedly, we will miss Calvin Jr. as he was known throughout the community. His mark was left through the lives he touched. He always had a big smile and loved his family most. He is pre- ceded in death by his parents, Emma Lee and Calvin F. Ox- endine, Sr., his brother, Sammy Washington, Sr. and his son, Kel- vin Austin Oxendine. He is survived by his wife, Helen Grant Oxendine, sister, Carolyn Oxendine Moody (Melvin) of Glennville, GA; three sons, Calvin F. Oxendine, III (Kelly) of Stockbridge, GA, Calvin Labryant Brown of Hapeville, GA, and Jairus Oxendine of Brooklyn, NY; grandchil- dren, Keslynn Oxendine, Calvin Oxendine, IV, Kaden Oxendine, Daavyn Brown, Kedgerain Brown, Sahara Brown, Jordan Owens; beloved niece, Yolanda Coaxum (Paul) of Savannah, GA; beloved Brother and Sister-in Laws, cousins, relatives and friends. Calvin Jrs passing left a tremendous void in our family cir- cle.
