God looked down, and saw his daughter getting tired and Gracie looked up while at home surrounded by family, and answered the call on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Gracie Slater-Davis was welcomed into the world on May 7, 1927, in Liberty County, GA to the late Turner and Geneva Bennett Slater. Gracie was the sibling of 6 brothers, Grady, Gus, Milton, Ben, Lydge, Dan, and 3 sisters Francina, Derva Bel, and Mary. Gracie is the last of the Turner and Geneva Slater clan. Gracie attended school at Taylor Creek school in Hinesville, GA where she bcame knowledgeable and skilled at everything life had to offer. Gracie was united in holy matrimony to the late Cleveland Nick Davis and worked as a homemaker for many years, until she decided to retire and take care of her family. Gracie was known by many as Sista and "Aunt Grace and was respected and loved by many. Gracie was known as a walking history book even during her old age and declining health. There was never a response of I dont know, she always had the answer. Gracie accepted the lord and savior Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Gracie joined and attended faithfully. Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church, Claxton, GA. Gracie enjoyed serving and worshipping the Lord, until her illness allowed her to remain at home and enjoy TV ministry. Aside from worshipping the Lord, one of Gracies greatest hobbies was fishing. Gracie joined and became a member of the Baptist Burial Society where she was dedicated and faithfully attended meetings until her health began to fail. Gracie answered the call to be with the Lord and her three children, Cynthia Davis, Bessie Nunnally-Sanchez, and Samuel Cameo Davis. Gracie leaves to mourn her passing, but cherished memories: ,41 ' - , 1 Six daughters: Lula Mae Smith (Miami, FL), Lottie Nesby Brown (Roy), Shirley Slater Childers, Carolyn Davis (All of Claxton, GA), Carol Pryor (Reidsville, ^ ^ f North Carolina), and Mae Davis Cox (Danny), (Statesboro, GA), One son: Donnell Rocky Davis (Learh), Claxton, GA. 23 grandchildren, 32 i||| great-grandchildren, a special and dear friend and sister True Miller Bacon, four special nieces who called and visited until the end, Joyce Wilson, Sarah *' * Williams, Mary Slater, and Mary Nell Love, 2 loving and supportive adopted sons Eugene Scott, and Timothy Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews. nnd friend': Presiding..............................Dr. Rev.
