Mother Emma (Ellis) Randall was called to eternal rest 
on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Camellia Health & 
Rehabilitation. 
Mother Randall was born October 27, 1922 in Tattnall 
County to Will and Gertrude Davis, the sixth of twenty-one 
children. She joined her family church, Hagan Chapel at a 
very early age under the pastor age of Rev. Hodges and began her 
church service as an usher under the guidance ofDea. Robert 
Williams and Sister Ollie Mae Williams. 
She married Rios Ellis of Hagan, Georgia, in 1940. In this 
union six children were born. Three of her children preceded her 
in death: Elora, Charles, andJohnny. After her husbands death, 
she continued to work to provide for her family encouraging 
them to seek and education and maintain a strong work ethic. 
She worked as a clerk at Rev. Smith's store, an aide at Griffin 
Hospital, a cook for her friend Ms. Lula Allen and spent many 
years as one of many great cooks at Ms. Rogers Restaurant until 
her retirement. She was most proud of receiving her GED at 
almost 60 years of age. 
She was later joined in marriage to Mr. Willie Randall of 
Millen, Georgia and resided there for 12 years until his death 
through out the years her dedication to Hagan Chapel was 
unwavering as head of the Usher Board and Missions member. 
She was installed as church Mother in 2005 under thepastorage 
of Rev. Michael P. Dickerson. 
Her last years at Camellia created new friendships and 
adventures to her life. She was most proud of her new pastor. 
Rev. Vivian Byrd, who was the granddaughter of Hagan Chapel 
members of the early years that she knew and loved. Until her 
death, she never lost faith in God and her love of her family, 
especially her grandchildren. And she always saw herself as an 
imperfect person trusting in a perfect God. 
She leaves to cherish her memory, three children: Dorothy 
Mincey, Melinda Blitch of College Park, Georgia and Rickey 
Ellis of Northridge, California; and two stepsons. One sister, 
Mary Erancis Ray of Toledo, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, 
nineteen great grands, fourteen great-great grands and one 
great-great-great grand. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins 
and friends.
