GODS GARDEN must be HE only takes THE BEST elen McClain was born April 30, 1932 in Tattnall County to the late Vernita Smith Richardson and Kelly Mincey. During the early morning of February 18, 2015, heavens doors opened and welcomed her home. At an early age, Helen attended New Bethel Baptist Church olTar City, Georgia. She later became an active member at Healing Temple Ministries serving faithfully until her health failed. Mother McClains faith never wavered: she knew her walk was anchored in the Lord. Through any challenges she faced. Mother McClain would continue to say, God is good. As the matriarch of the family she cherished family and friends. She assisted the sick and provided support for all the mothers in the neighborhood. She loved to make everyone laugh abundantly and share her home with her community. Her love made you feel like family, which in return she was affectionately called Mother or Cun Helen. She instilled great morals and family values leading by example, A Virtuous Woman. Preceded her in death is her husband of 58 years, Henry McClain, Sr.. Also preceding her in death are three brothers Roger Mincey, Troy Mincey, and LeRoy Mincey. She leaves to cherish her memory: eleven devoted children, Bernice Kennedy (Martha) Mt. Vernon New York and Larry Mincey Savannah, Georgia; Ora Lee Congers Manansas, Georgia; Louise Brewton (Donnie) Austell, Georgia; Cora Brewton (Grayling) Claxton, Georgia; Matha Thompson (Tyreace) Powder Springs, Georgia; Silvia Bell (Stuart Sr.) Hagan, Georgia; Henry McClain, Jr. (Shirleen) Claxton, Georgia; Johnny McClain (Constance) Claxton, Georgia; Patricia Webb (Allen) Pembroke, Georgia; Don McClain (LaVern) Register, Georgia; and reared Lukecia McClain Grayson Atlanta, Georgia and Katina McClain (Horace); seven sisters, Sarah Cox, Naomie Slater, Willie McKinnon (Bill), Jewel Sharp (Billy), Shirlan Rogers (Edward), Josie Mae Mincey; one brother, Jerry Mincey (Dorothy), two sisters- in-law Gladys Mincey Glennville, Georgia and Catherine Mincey Claxton, Georgia; thirty-three (33) grandchildren, fifty-four (54) great-grandchildren, one (1) great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. 0 B 1 T U A R Y O R D E R jo 'F S |e R )V f 11 c E P R E , [M E M O R 11 E S i t I have finished now with this house of clay, Please kindly and carefully lay it away, And let me rest from this Ife of pain. Toiling in sunshine, storm and rain. Trying to help the sick and the poor, And turning no needy from my door. I strove to do my masters work. Never a duty did I shirk. I am tired now, so let me rest. Dont cry, Dont you know God knows best? Dont weep for me, for I am not dead, I have another house you know. Where only Gods redeemed can go. I do not need this house of clay.
