OSituary Thomas Loman was born in Savannah, Georgia on May 9, 1925. He was reared in a Christian home by his devoted Grandparents, Elias and Maude Loman and accepted Christ at an early age. He attended the local schools in Savannah, Georgia. Upon completion of high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After serving an honorable tour, he continued his education receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree from Savannah State University and certification in Guidance and Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. Loman taught Math in Savannah and Claxton, Georgia and later moved to Fort Pierce, Florida. He was a Mathematics teacher in the Saint Lucie County School System for 20 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He loved golf and was a devoted family man. On Tuesday, April 13, 2010, Thomas Loman quietly departed this life to take his rest and be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one sister and two brothers. Left to cherish his loving memories are: a loving and devoted wife Emma Adams Loman; four daughters: Lona Loman and Delores (A Jaiku) Merrick of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Harriette (Edward) Williams of East Orange, New Jersey; Bookecia Foster of College Park, Georgia; one son, Montez (Barbara) Lamone of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one sister, Maude Harris of New York, New York. Grandchildren: Kezia H. (Douglas) Terrell, Melicia Foster, LaWana Lomone, Lawrence Revels, Carina Montgomery and Monty (Shay) Tekhna. Great-Grandchildren: Kameron Terrell; Lelah Tekho Ramasis andNaela Montgomery Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, sorrowing relatives andfriends.
