HOME GOING SERVICE for J(XV\A,ts> 6u.06ia^ B-flooiA/ 1948 2009 Saturday, May 2, 2009 11 A.M. Green Cypress missionary Baptist Church Claxton, Georgia Bishop A.C. Pierce HOME GOING CELEBRATION Mr. James Eugene Bacon was born on February 10, 1948 to the late Mr. William and Mrs. Annie Lee Bacon. This union produced four children, of which Eugene was the third born. He departed this life on April 27, 2009 at Evans Memorial Hospital. Eugene was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Evans County High School. After graduation from high school Eugene enlisted in the military, but his daddy was afraid for him because of the Vietnam War. Somehow his dad and mom were able to get him out of that enlistment. He was then united in marriage to Annie Marie Murray and to this union one son was born. At an early age he joined Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church. During his lifetime Eugene worked as a construction worker and a log truck driver. He and his brother, Winton, also purchased their own 18 wheeler and did long distance hauling for several years. Even after Eugenes medical diagnosis he resumed hauling logs when his doctor said he could. Eugene has always been a hard worker and continued hauling logs until his health would not allow him to do so. Eugene leaves to mourn his death, a loving and devoted family: one son, Mr. James Raenard Bacon, Claxton, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Minnie Lee Robinson, New York and Ms. Glenda Cooley, Claxton, Georgia; one brother Mr. John Winton Bacon (Elaine), Claxton, Georgia. He also leaves to mourn his death a devoted companion, Ms. Samantha Moore, four sisters-in-law, 8 brothers-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. With tear filled eyes we watched him suffer And fade away Although we loved him deeply We could not, make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only, takes the best. -Anonymous PALLBEARERS Terry Murray Samuel Moore Warnell Moss Michael Murray Charles Mikel Antonio Murray FLORAL ATTENDANTS Friends of the Family ACKNOWLEDGMENTS The family of the late James Eugene Bacon wishes to extend their appreciation to everyone for all acts of kindness and sympathy that have been shown to them during this most difficult time.
