Lenwood Porter was born on September 2, 1942 to M. Monroe 
and Velma Porter-Jones  both preceded him in death. 
Lenwood received his education through the Evans County 
School Systems. In 1959 he relocated to Maywood, IL where he lived 
until the year 2000 at which time he returned home to Claxton. 
In September 1961 Lenwood was united in Holy Matrimony to 
Patricia Ann Stinson. To this union three (3) children were born: 
Etrenda, Tracy and Kenneth, Sr. In Eebruary 1981, Lenwood was 
blessed with another son, Kevin Porter. 
Lenwood departed this life on Eriday, July 26' at 3:30 am. 
Lenwood will be missed and remembered by his children, 
Etrenda (Kendall Eaber; Tracy, Kenneth (Germaine) Porter, of 
Maywood, IL and Kevin Porter, of Stone Park, IL. 11 grandchildren: 
Kendall, Kalisha (Norman) Wright, Krystal Eaber, Gabriel, Michael, 
Jeremy, Jameel, Tony, Kayla, Alysha, Naja; 5 great grandchildren; 1 
brother: Johnnie Jones of Claxton, GA; 4 aunts: Letha Mae Lawson of 
Pembroke; Mary Alice Williams; Minnie Lee Wright; Ereda Singleton - 
all of Claxton, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will 
also be remembered by his Illinois connection  Valerie Allport, Rosemary 
Williams, Mary Agnes Wilkins, Curtis Montgomery, Isaac Redfield and 
the 13th Avenue American Legion Eamily. 
Lenwood had 1 grandson - Kenneth Porter, Jr - preceding him 
in death.
