Freddie Hodge, Eulogist Interment; Green Cypress Church Cemetery Claxton, Georgia Obituary Mr. James MacArthur Smith was born in Evans County, Georgia on November 7,1947 to Mrs. Trudie Mae Smith Malette, who preceded him in death. At an early age, James joined New Bethel Baptist Church in Reidsville, Georgia. He was a member of the Evans County High School Graduating Class 0/1967. After graduation, he moved to New York, where he worked for the Washburn Wire Company. Later, James returned home, and worked for the City ofClaxton. He was also employed by Murray and Murray Construction Com- pany. A few years later, James relocated to Eustis, Florida, and worked for FedAudains Realty Company. Mr. James MacArthur Smith departed this life on February 7, 2007 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Flor- ida after an accident. He leaves to cherish his memory: five sis- ters: Marion McKinnon (Gene), Jeanette Lewis, and Bernistine Wilkerson (Julian), all ofClaxton, Georgia, Annette Lash of Hagan, Georgia, and Karen Geico of St. Auburns, New York; six brothers: Floyd McFadden (Clover) ofWinterhaven, Florida, Rus- sel McFadden and Gary McFadden, both of Eustis, Florida, Ken- neth McFadden and Marvin McFadden, both ofClaxton, Georgia, and Ricky McFadden (Annie) of Stark, Florida; two uncles: Ros- coe Smith (Dorothy) ofBellville, Georgia, and Robert Smith of Claxton, Georgia; one aunt. Rose Smith of Miami, Florida; several special friends: Regina Poindexter and Ann Lawrence of Eustis, Florida, and Leon and Emma Jean Carr ofClaxton, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
