Obituary 
Mr. Alvin Dean McKinnon was born in Evans County, Claxton Georgia on 
October 16,1933 to the late Rev. Abie McKinnon and Vernease Oglesbee 
McKinnon. He depart this life July 9,2007. Two brothers, Alfred and 
Abie Paul, Preceded him in death. 
In Alvin's early years, he attended church regularly. He believed in God 
and he said that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Alvin was 
educated in the Evans's County School System. Later, he joined the U.S. 
Army in the early 1950's and was a veteran of the Korean War. He 
served in the armed forces thirteen and a half years. He later 
furthered his education and became a computer programmer with IBM. 
Alvin was also among the first black men to work on Wall Street in New 
York City. 
In 1959, Alvin was united in Marriage to Ms. Eva P. Brown and to this 
union, two sons were born. 
After many years of living alone, on February 14, 2007 he was united in 
Marriage to Ms. Tamm Lily. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, 
Mrs. Tamm L. McKinnon of New York; Three sons, Darryl C. Mckinnon 
(Hope) of Glennville GA.; Edwin D, McKinnon ( Bonnie) of Jacksonville FI; 
Kenneth McKinnon (Veronica) or Newport News, VA; Three Sisters 
Catherine Armstrong, Minister Alfredo M. Hagan (Julian) both of 
Glennville, Ga.; Myrtle Duffy (Robert) of Beaumont, TX. Three brothers; 
Mr. Algerene McKinnon (Connie) of St. Helena, S. C.; Mr. Gene A 
McKinnon ( Marian) of Claxton, GA.; and Millard McKinnon of New York, 
NY; A devoted nephew, Mr. Robert L. McKinnon ( Rosetta) of Jersey 
City, NJ. One aunt, Ida Mae McKinnon; Four uncles, Albert McKinnon 
(Novella) of Claxton GA.; Ben K. Oglesbee (Olerdeah), and Gene C. 
Oglesbee ( Eorlene); and Carl Oglebsee of Glennville, Ga. and a host of 
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
