Perry McNeal, Officiating Interment: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery OBITUARY Mrs. Barbara Ann Oglesby Washington was bom on July 17, 1942 to the late Emmit Oglesby and Ceola Hagan Oglesby. She was a 1961 graduate of Evans County High School, Claxton Georgia. While in school, she was a member of the science club and high school chorus. At an early age, she joined Historic Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Claxton, Georgia. On January 2,1965, Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Willie Washington. To this union two daughters were bom. She devoted her life to her family and her door was open to all. She enjoyed providing care for children while their parents worked. Barbara attended Deliverance Center in Newark, NJ under the leadership of Apostle Ralph Nichols. She had a great love for God and His word, her favorite scripture Psalm 121. Her favorite song, Without God I Can Do Nothing. She departed this life on Monday, Febmary 27,2006 at her home in East Orange, New Jersey after a long illness. Barbara leaves to mourn her devoted husband of over 40 years Mr. Willie Washington, two daughters, Mrs. Dapheney (Charles) Davis, of Raleigh, NC, Ms. Kersandra Washington, of Philadelphia, PA; five brothers, Mr. Charles (Unja) Oglesby and Adolphus (Wanda) Oglesby, of Claxton, GA, Mr. Edward (Yvonne) Oglesby and Mr. Lavon (Margaret) Oglesby of Savannah, GA and Wayne(Peebles) Crawford of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Mrs. Peggy (Jerry) Harden, of Savannah, GA; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Bermy (Mary) Washington, of Camden, SC and Charles Younginer (Visia) of Brentwood, NY, one sister-in- law, Carrie Woodberry of Ocala, FL,: Four aunts, Mrs. Ola Mae (George) Houser of Claxton, GA, Mrs. Bereathea Callaway of Savannah, GA, Mrs. Helen Holmes Mrs. Annette Lash, Hagan GA., four uncles, Mr. Alonzo Oglesby of Savannah, GA, Mr. Roger Oglesby of Ft. Lauderdale, Mr. Thaddaeus (Cora) Hagan of Claxton, GA., Mr. George(Clara) Hagan, two grandchildren, Lakia and Eric and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Presiding Rev.
