Perry McNeal, Pastor Obituary Mr. Sylvester Brown Sr. was born June 10, 1928 in Evans County Georgia to Bro. Julius and Sis. Lucile Brown. He passed into eternal rest February 6, 2005 at Claxton Nursing Home, Claxton, Georgia, after a long illness. At an early age, he joined The United House of Prayer for all People in Bellville, Georgia. On October 24, 1948, he united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Nellie Ruth Richardson who proceeded him in death. To this union five children were born. One son proceeded him in death. Later years, he joined the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an active member until his health failed. He retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation, Bellville, Georgia in 1993. He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons: Harold Brown (Jane) Neptune, NJ; Willie Brown (Lael) Reidsville, GA; David Brown and Dennis Brown, Bellville, GA; three brothers: Robert Brown, Bellville, GA; Clifford Brown (Rosetta) Decatur, GA; TaBe Brown (Judy) Augusta, GA; four sisters: Mamie Bacon, Claxton, GA; Lucile Brice (Boston) Golumbia, S.C.; Pauline Hendrix, Susie (Supt. Eddie Mincey) Claxton, GA; Brother-in-law, Nathaniel Brewton, Manassas, GA; Roscoe Underwood, Clinton, AL; Sister-in-law, Pearlie Mikell, Miami, FL; seven grandchil- dren; 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
