Perry McNeal, Officiating Professional Services Entrusted to: Harpers Funeral Home Claxton, Georgia 0bttuatrg Mrs. Carole Louise Strickland Flowers was born on April 2, 1942 in Claxton, Georgia to the late Leamon Harold Strickland, Sr. and Mrs. Gwendolyn Henley Strickland. She departed this life suddenly in Hagan, Georgia on Sunday evening, December 1,2002. She married Melvin Perry Flowers in November 1974 in Los Angeles, California, and of the union, one son, Mitchell Perry Flowers was born. She attended school in Evans County, Georgia and advanced her studies at Franklin Institute of Arts and Sciences (medical technology), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, California State University (health and public safety) and Los Angeles Southwest College (general education) in Los Angeles, California. Her primary professional activities encompassed medical technology and office management in medical centers and clinics. She became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and participated in many church activities until she moved to Los Angeles, California. She then became affiliated with Greater New Salem Baptist Church and later with Knox Presbyterian Church. After returning to Georgia in 1994, she reestablished her membership at St. John. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a son, Mitchell Perry Flowers of Valdosta, GA; her mother, Gwendolyn Henley Strickland of Claxton, GA; four brothers, Leamon H. Strickland, Jr. of Kingstowne, VA, William E. Strickland, Sr. of Durham, NC, Anthony W. Strickland of Hampton, VA and R. Stanley Strickland of Claxton, GA; an uncle, Robert W. Henley, II of Louisville, GA; four aunts, Mrs. Bernice G. Macon of Claxton, GA, Mrs. Geneda Henley of Louisville, GA, Mrs. Margie Rumph of Fort Valley, GA and Mrs. Leona B. Henley-Williams of Savannah, GA; three nieces, two nephews, three sisters-in-law, several cousins, other relatives and friends. riler of Menifee Processional Invocation................
