He departed this life on March 9, 2002. The call was short. He was a native of Evans County but lived in Asbury Park, NJ for many years where he joined the Army and became a Vietnam Veteran. He has many awards of acts of kindness. Later in life he returned back to Evans County where he was associated with Mt. Pleasant Church. He leaves to cherish his memory; a special friend, Wyonnie Mincey; a daughter, Robin Cherece Bacon; two brothers, Glendell Bacon, Atlantic City, NJ, and Robert Bacon, Atlanta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Bacon, Atlantic City, NJ and Linda Bacon, Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Debbie Ann Williams, Savannah, GA, Anna Phean Mainer, Atlanta, GA, Lindell Nunnally, Atlantic City, NJ and Julia Fayne Bacon, Claxton, GA; two brothers-in-law, Willie Williams, Savannah, GA, Edward Mainer, Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren; one aunt, Rossetta Brown, Macon, GA; Kizer McNeal of Daisy GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
