Hershel Middleton was bom in Evans County on March 15, 1932 
to Mr. Wilson and Phoebe Middleton. He was educated in Evans 
County Public Schools. 
At an early age, he joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. 
He was employed by Claxton Nursing Home until he became ill 
in 1973. 
He leaves to mourn his passing; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Jinks 
of Glennville, GA, Mrs. Eftie M. Primous and Mrs. Dorothy 
Morgan, both of Claxton, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie 
Middleton of Hagan, GA; two devoted nephews, Mr. Charles 
Milton of Claxton, GA and Mr. Jimmy Middleton of Hillcrest, 
MD; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, 
cousins and other family.
