Miller, Pastor Professional Services Entrusted to: Harpers Funeral Home Claxton, Georgia bituarfl Lonnie Palmer was bom in Evans County, Georgia to the late Ivory Palmer and Bertha Wright Palmer on November 15, 1917. He grew up and attended the schools of Evans County. He united with Green Cypress Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health declined. In 1940, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Eva Smith Palmer. To this union six children were bora. One child preceded him in death, Eva Pearl Palmer. On Friday, May 25, 2001, he departed this life at Evans County Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Georgia after a long illness. He leaves to cherish his memories; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee (Junior) Palmer and Mrs. Carolyn (Leon) Tillman of Reidsville, GA and Ms. Melrose Palmer of Hagan, GA; three sons, Mr. Bennie (Gloria) Palmer of Augusta, GA, Mr. Larry (Linda) Palmer of New York City, NY and Mr. John H. Davis of Fort Lauderdale, FL; nine sisters, eight brothers and two devoted brothers; Mr. Son Palmer of Claxton, GA and Mr. Leroy (Tina) Palmer of Teaneck, NY; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and fiiends. What is a Father - A Tribute He is a wonderful man who has given so much, and who brings love and joy to the lives he has touched. Hes a special person who willingly shares, who is never too busy to listen and cared, he is the one who encourages and patiently guides. Who think of his children with pride and because his devotion is loving and true his Family Ties last a whole lifetime through.
