Mr. Alexander ICeuant 1305 1333 Mr. Alexander Levant, a native of Liberty County, Georgia was born April 6, 1905. He was the son of Emmit Levant and Annie Hines Levant. Mr. Levant departed this life quietly Saturday, June 19, 1999 at the Claxton Nursing Home. Mr. Levant attended the schools of Liberty County. He joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church of Groveland, Georgia at an early age. He served faithfiiUy until his health declined. He was employed at Fort Stewart for several years. He later became a farmer which he cherished very much. He had two sons to precede him in death. Mr. Levant was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Eamestine King Levant for 60 years. Three devoted children were the products of this union. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife; Mrs. Eamestine King Levant of Claxton, GA; a devoted daughter, Mrs. Pauline King Oxendine of Hinesville, GA; a granddaughter raised as a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann King Carr and grandson-in-law, Mr. John Carr of Tampa, FL; a daughter-in-law, Ms. Catherine King of Hinesville, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Alberta L. Young of Elizabeth, NJ and Mrs. Rose L. Love of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Mr. Fletcher Levant of Claxton, GA; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Miley Levant Slater of Claxton, GA, Mrs. Grace Frazier of Hinesville, GA and Mrs. Suforina Stafford of Ludowici, GA; two brothers- in-law, Mr. Ezekiel Baker of Claxton, GA and Mr. Howard Baker of Ludowici, GA; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
