He departed this life Sunday, April 27, 1997 after a brief illness. At an early age he joined the Historic Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Sally B. Jones in 1943. He was a veteran of World War II. he was a interested and active member in his community. He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving and devot- ed wife, Mrs. Sally B. Moody, Claxton, Ga., two sons , Mr. Sylvester Moody, Elizabeth, N.J. and Mr. Stanley Dixon, Claxton, Ga., four daughters, Mrs. Vera Hall, Dover, Delaware, Sandra Hawkins, Manassas, Ga., Barbara B. Sallie, Jacksonville, Fla., an^ Ms. Rosemary Moody, Statesboro, Ga., four sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Hagan, Glennville, Ga., Mrs. Maggie Harper and Mrs. Rosa Lee Mincey, both of Claxton, and Mrs. Louise Mathis ofTembert, New Jersey, one broth- er, Mr. Gene Daniels, New York City, N.Y., two sons-in-law, Mr. Ronnie Sallie, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mr. Wilbert Hall of Dover, Delaware. Two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Jackie Moody, Elizabeth, New Jersey and Mrs. Patricia Dixon of Claxton, Ga., six brothers-in-law, Mr. Tom Jones, Claxton, Ga., Mr. Harry (Francis) Jones, Elizabeth, N.J., Mr. Roosevelt (Annie B.) Jones, Glennville, Ga., Mr. William (Elizabeth) Jones, Lyndon, N.J., Mr. Henry (Ann) Jones, Reidsville, Ga., and Mr. Leroy Hagan, Glennville, Ga. Four other sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mollie Wade, Mrs. Mary Jones, Mrs. Ruby Moody, all of Claxton, Ga., and Mrs. Mae Moody of Hagan, Ga., two cousins he adopted and raised as daughters, Sharon Brown, Daisy, Ga., and Freda Butler, Ludowici, Ga. Ten grandchil- dren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
