Mr. Lonnie Jones was born the son of the 
late Mr. Charles Jones and Maggie S. Jones on July 
26, 1918. 
At an early age, he joined the Hagan Chapel Baptist 
Church in Hagan, Georgia. 
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving 
daughter, Mrs. Ola Mae Jones Brewton, Claxton, 
Georgia; one son, Mr. Terrance Tyrone Jones, 
Houston,Texas; two brothers, Mr.William D. Jones 
of Claxton and Mr. Jonnie Jones of Louisanna; six 
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a very spe- 
cial friend, Ms. Arie Brinson of Miami, Florida; and a 
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other rela- 
tives and friends. 
HE IS lOST AWAY 
I cannot say, 
and I will not say 
That he is dead  
He is just away. 
With a cherry smile, 
and a wave of the hand. 
He has wandered 
into an unknown land. 
And left us dreaming 
how very fair 
It needs must be, 
since he lingers there. 
So think of him faring on, as dear 
In the love of There 
as the love of Here; 
Think of him still as the same, 
I say: 
He is not dead  
He is just away.
