Shirley departed this life on Sunday morning, November 7, 1993 at Evans Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Shirley touched the lives of many peopie and wiil aiways be remembered. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted aunt, Mrs. Bessie Carter, Claxton, Georgia; her father, Chester Frederick, Jacksonville, Florida; five brothers, Terry Stewart, Portland, Oregon, Larry Carter, Anchorage, Alaska, Derrick Carter, Savan- nah, Georgia, David Frederick and Donald Frederick, both of Rodchester, New York; six sisters, Rosie, Eileen, Gloria, Sarah, and Sheila Frederick, all of Rochester New York, and Loretta Frederick of Jacksonville, Florida; two very close cousins who were raised as sister and brother, Virginia Cooper, Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Randy Carter, Claxton, Georgia; a step-mother, Alberta Frederick, Jacksonville, Florida; a step-father, Theodore Mitchell, Savannah, Georgia; one aunt, Essie Mae , Ft. Pierce, Florida; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. She will not be forgotten, Though on earth she is no more; But in memory and in spirit, she is still With us, as she always was before.
