PLEASANT CEMETERY CLAXTON, GEORGIA HARPERS FUNERAL HOME IN CHARGE CLAXTON, GEORGIA OBITUARY Alfonso Wilkerson was born August 22, 1917 in Chatham County, to the late Mrs. Bertha Wilkerson and the late Mr. Sam Wilkerson. He passed away on November 30, 1991, at Candler County Hospital, Matter, Georgia. Alfonso was joined in Holy Matrimony to Miss Ollie Mae Roberts, on January 2,1937, and to this union six children were born. Alfonso was a member of Mt. Pleasant Bap- tist Church from early childhood until his passing. He was known as a hard worker who was well liked by all who knew him. Alfonso leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Mrs. Ollie Mae Wilkerson, Claxton, Georgia; three daughters. Pinkie Jacobs, Newark, New Jersey, Ruth Jones, Claxton, Georgia, and Minnie Smith, Hillside, New Jersey; three sons, Eugene Wilkerson and Willie Gene Wilkerson, both of Claxton, Georgia, Rodney Wilkerson, Tampa, Florida; two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. Passing time can never dim A father is love Our love for him." Daddy, you have a very special place That no one else can ever fill In the hearts of we who loved you And you always will. We will miss the times and feelings we shared Both the happy and the sad. We will miss the little things, that at the time, seem- ed so unimportant. We will miss your strong voice, determined nature and guiding hand. But most of all, we will miss you, the father and the man.
