OBITUARY 
Mr. Thomas Wallace Levant, the son of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. Emmett Levant, was born October 11,1907, in 
Liberty County, Georgia. He departed this life Friday, 
November 11, 1991 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in 
Metter, Georgia after a long illness. 
He joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age. 
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Julia Levant in 
1941. To this union four children were born. 
He leaves to mourn; a loving wife, Mrs. Julia Levant, 
Claxton, Ga.; four daughters, Ms. Mary Levant, Newark, 
N. J., Mrs. Marcel Jones, Jackson, Ms., Mrs. Juanita Scott, 
Maywood, II., and Ms. June Levant, Newark, N. J.; two 
sons-in-law, Mr. Arnell Jones, Jackson, Ms., and Mr. 
Nathaniel Scott, Maywood, II.; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie 
Baker and Mrs.. Albertha Young, both of Claxton, Ga. and 
Mrs. Rosa Love, Cincinnati, Ch.; three brothers, Alexander 
Levant, Clinton Levant, and Fletcher Levant, all of Clax- 
ton, Ga.; five sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, ten grand- 
children and other relatives and friends. 
He saw a hand you could not see 
Which beckoned him away; 
He heard a voice you could not hear, 
Which would not let him stay. 
And he who is Himself the giver and the gift 
The future glory, and the present smile. 
With the bright promise of the glad forever 
Will light the shadows for thee.
