It is enough to be pleasant,
When life flows by like a song.
But the man worth while is one who will smile.
When everything goes dead wrong.
For the test of the heart is trouble.
And it always comes with the years.
And the smile that is worth the praises of earth
Is the smile that shines through tears.
Theo (Ted) Warren Ball was born to Deacon and Mrs. W.
H. Ball on March 20, 1949. At an early age, he joined
Jerusalem Baptist Church and was a faithful member.
After graduating from Evans County High School in 1 967
as an honor student, he attended Tuskegee University in
Tuskegee, Alabama. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia
where he found All Transport Systems, Inc.
Ted departed his life on Wednesday, May 17, 1989 at
approximately 3:00 p.m. He leaves a loving family to cherish
his memory; devoted companion, Rubye Harris; two children,
Valdesha Ball and Brandon Ball, Atlanta, Georgia; devoted
parents. Deacon and Mrs. W. H. Ball, Claxton, Georgia; two
sisters, Vivian Randolph, Atlanta, and Euris Belle, Chicago,
Illinois; brother, Roland Ball, Atlanta; three nephews,
Dravious Mincey, Claxton, Royal Randolph, III, Atlanta, and
Maurice Belle, Chicago; numerous cousins, friends and
associates who were all deeply touched by his loving ways.
It is in loving,
not in being loved
The heart finds its quest;
It is in giving,
not in getting
Our lives are blest.
