PLEASANT CEMETERY HARPERS FUNERAL HOME IN CHARGE CLAXTON, GEORGIA OBITUARY And as the path of duty is made plain, may grace be given that I may walk therein not like the hireling, for his selfish gain with backward glances and reluctant tread making a merit of his coward dread but cheerful in the light around me thrown walking as one to pleasant service led; Doing Gods will as if it were my own, yet trusing not in mine but in his strength alone. Mary Etta Middleton, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Williams, was born February 6, 1913, in Jenkins County, Millen, Georgia. She learned early in life her personal path of duty and followed it with unselfishness and dedication until her passing. Married to the late Henry Middleton who proceeded her in death. She was a faithful member of the First A. B. Church, where she attended regularly and gave her support to the best of her ability. Mrs. Middleton will be remembered best for the charming little things that characterized her life her quiet and unassuming disposition. Her love and loyalty to family and friends and her gentleness of spirit on Tuesday night, November 1, 1988 the Lord called her home to eternal rest. May her soul find peace, favor and acceptance with her maker and indeed may her love live on. Cherishing her memory are five daughters, Mrs. Daisy Bell Benjamin, Maywood, III., Mrs. Betty Ann Smith, Ft. Laudersdale, Fla., Mrs. Rosa Mae Palmer, Hinesville, Ga., Ms. Etta Mae Middfeton, Ms. Christine Middleton of Claxton, Ga.; two soni Mr. Henry Middleton, Jr., and Mr. Willie Lewis Middleton, both of Claxton; three sons-in-law, Mr. Bobby Benjamin, Maywood, III., Mr. Willie James Smith, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Cornell Palmer, Hinesville, Ga.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mae Alice Middleton, Claxton; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Holmes, Millen, Ga., Mrs. Susan Williams, Gainsville, Fla.; one brother, Mr. Frank Williams, Augusta, Ga.; twenty three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. We loved her yes we loved her, but God loved her more and he has swiftly called her to yonders shining shore.
