Among these is a time to be born and a time to die. Mr. LeVone Baker was born December 18, 1931 in Evans County to the late Mr. Randoll and Suzie Holland Baker. He departed this life on December 2, 1987 at home. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Miss Nita Bell Jones, December 20, 1952. He joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Mrs. Nita Bell Baker, Claxton, Georgia; two daughters, LeVone Renee Baker, Claxton, Georgia and Doris Johnson, Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Barry Baker of Statesboro, Georgia and Randy Baker, Raleigh, N. C.; three brothers, Henry W. Baker, Walter Baker and McKinley Baker all of Claxton, Georgia; one sister, Beautine Burns, Bollingbrook, Hi.; one son-in-law, Leon Johnson; three grands, Taris, Marcus, Maurice; six sisters-in-law, Luretha Tillman, Juanita Benjamin, Ruby Dell Baker, Mamie Baker, Thelma Jones and Wilma Jones; five brothers-in-law. Rev. Lee Jones, Rev. Lloyd Jones, Rev. James Benjamin, Rev. Tellus Burns and Robert Jones; four aunts, Corrie Baker, Addie Holland, Ollie Holland and Daisy Holland; one uncle, Cory Byrd. Ive done my work, I sung my song. Ive done some good, Ive done some wrong; And I shall go where I belong. The Lord has willed it so. He guides my steps, for He knows best.
