OBITUARY 
God said that you were getting weary. 
So he did what he thought was best 
He came and stood beside you 
And whispered Come and rest. 
Mrs. Virginia was born in the State of Alabama, 
October 11, 1898 to the late Mrs. Fannie Harris Spell- 
man. While very young, the family moved to Georgia, 
and settled in Manassas. At an early age, she joined the 
Oak Grove A.M.E. Church. 
She was married to March Brewton who preceded 
her in death. She was a faithful member at her church 
until she became ill and moved away, about 28 years ago, 
she still attended but not as regular as before. She was a 
member of the Knights of Moses Society, Charity and 
Good Will, Women Home Benefit W.M.B.S. Burial 
Society. 
A few years ago she moved to Boston Mass. She 
passed away Sunday, May 25 at 12:15 at the Boston City 
Hospital. 
She leaves to mourn her passing, one son, Arbertee 
Harris, Claxton, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Eula Mae 
Bryant, Buffalo, N. Y., Mrs. Maurice Gamble, 
Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Arvannah Hall Bodkin and Mrs. 
Grace Glaude, Boston, Mass.; one step-son, Ambro 
Brewton, Claxton, Ga.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Annie 
Mae Hendrix, Jesup, Ga., Mrs. Nona Bell Hall, 
Manassas, Ga., Mrs. Lillie Mae Ruff, Savannah, Ga.; one 
daughter-in-law, Lily Mae Harris, Claxton, Ga.; one step- 
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nina Bell Brewton; four sons-in- 
law, Mr. Henry Bryant, Buffalo, N. Y., Mr. Walter 
Gamble, Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. John Claude, Boston, 
Mass., Mr. Ellis Hall, Boston, Mass., Mr. Earl Ruff, 
Savannah, Ga.; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great- 
grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host 
of relatives and friends. 
For our lifes just a limit for when God cails it only 
takes a minute rest in peace and wondering are gone God 
has given you a brand new home.
