Thomas, Officiating Interment Church Cemetery Hodges Funeral Home, Metier, Ga. in Charge of Arrangements bituarg Mrs. Edna Mae Conyers was born in Bulloch County, Georgia November 10,1910 to Mr. Elijah and Mrs. Mary Cobb. She joined the St. John Baptist Church of Claxton at an early age, and later moved her membership to the Charlton Grove Baptist Church of Cobbtown, where she was past president of the choir. She was a member of the W.M.B.S. societies of Charlton Grove and Steep Hill. She was a retired lunchroom employee of the Tattnall County School System and a resident of the Evergreen Community for many years. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many loving memories the following relatives: herhusband, Mr. James Conyers of Cobbtown; three daughters, Mrs. Edna M. Quaresma of Newark, N.J., Mrs. Dorothy Campbell of Metter, Mrs. Bernese Frazier of Jersey City, N.J.; four sons, Mr. Sanford Conyers of Savannah, Mr. Alex James Conyers of Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Julius Conyers of Hoboken, N.J. and Mr. Harry Conyers of Patterson, N.J.; her stepmother, Mrs. Emma Cobb of Statesboro; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Smith of Claxton; one brother, Mr. Penton Cobb of Claxton; two sons-in-law, Mr. Joe Campbell of Metter, and Mr. Willie J. Frazier of Jersey City, N.J.; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Conyers of Hoboken, N.J., and Mrs. Shirley Conyers of Patterson, N.J.; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, 23 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. God said you were getting weary, So He did what He thought was best. He came and stood beside you, And whispered "come and rest". You bade no one a last farewell. Not even a "good-bye".
