He was the son of the late Deacon and Mrs. Charlie Bailey. He departed this life Wednesday, September 18, at his home after a short illness. At an early age he joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the Korean War. He was presently serving as a baliff for the Evans County Court. Surviving are his sister Mrs. Mae Frances Bailey; a brother, Charles L. Bailey of Claxton; an uncle, Holbrook Foreman of Lake Wales, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Earlean G. Bailey of Claxton; two nephews. Dr. Ronald W. Bailey of Oxford, Miss, and Linell A. Bailey of Athens; one niece, Mrs. Cynthia B. McBride of Alexandria, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
