St. John Missionary Baptist Church CLAXTON,GEORGiA iNTERMENT-JERUSALEM CEMETERY GROVELAND,GEORGiA REVERENO iSSACH CULBRETH, PASTOR OFFiCiATiNG HARPERS FUNERAL HOME iN CHARGE CLAXTON,GEORGiA OBITUARY Mrs. Sarah Susanna Douglas Boggs, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steve Douglas, was born May 17, 1894 in Liberty County, Ga. She departed this life Sept. 25, 1984 at Evans Memorial Hospital. She joined Philadelphia Baptist Church in Liberty County at an early age. Later after moving to Ciaxton she joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member until death. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Marshall Boggs in 1915 and to this union eleen children were born. Her husband and four children have proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Jenksand Mrs. Dorothy Harris, both of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Claudia Mae Williams and Mrs. Luverta Morrison of Miami, Fla.; three sons, Leona Boggs, Ciaxton, Ga., Paul Boggs, Savannah, Ga., and Willie Boggs, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Georgia Simmons, Ciaxton, Ga.; two brothers, Homer Douglas, Ciaxton, Ga., and Nathan Douglas, Savannah, Ga.; three sons-in-law, Elden Jenks, Eddie Wiliiams, and Perry Harris; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Irene Boggs, Mrs. Bertha Boggs, and Mrs. Florrie Screven; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Madie Douglas and Mrs. Matilda Douglas; one brother-in-law, Mr. Thomas Simmons; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
