Welton Moore was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moore in the year of 1896 in Liberty County, Georgia. He was married to Miss Martha Jackson. To this union four children were born. He was later married to Ms. Sarah Small. At an early age, he joined Charlton Grove Baptist Church where he served until his passing Wednesday, June 13, 1984. Mr. Moore entered the U.S. Army in 1918 during World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Moore of Claxton, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Ruffin and Miss Juanita Moore, both of Claxton, Ga.; one son, Clifford Moore of Carnesville, Ga.; one stepson, Richard Small of Claxton, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, 36 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, one son-in-law, Mr. Governor Seay, and other relatives. 6 A ' A Poem Thank big your deeds will grow, Thank small you will fall behind, Thank that you can and you will strive.
