OBITUARY 
Miss Roxie Jones was born May 12,1914 in Evans 
County Georgia to the Late Mr. and Mrs. York 
Jones 
She departed this life Tuesday, November 17, 
1981 at Evans Memorial Hospital, Claxton, Ga. 
after a brief illness. 
She joined the Mt. Zion AME Church on the 
level at an early age and was a faithful mem- 
ber until her death. 
She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. 
She leaves to mourn her passing, four sisters: 
Mrs. Ruth Fair, Glennville, Georgia; Miss Mary 
Jones and Miss Julia Jones, both of Claxton, 
Georgia; and Miss Elizabeth Jones, Brooklyn, 
New York. She also leaves a host of nieces, 
nephews and other relatives and friends.
