He joined the Hagan Chapel Baptist Church at an early age, he served and became an Ordain- ed Deacon under the leadership of Rev. D. H. Hobbs. He later moved to Savannah, Ga., and united himself with the Tabernacle Baptist Church and served faithfully as a member and Deacon. He was united in marriage to the late Miss Mary Carlton. I cannot say, and I will not say. That he is dead, he is just away. With a cherry smile and a wave of a hand. He has wondered into an unknown land. Think of him still as the same, I say. He is not dead, he is just away.
