TANKSLEY, PASTOR, OFFICIATING HARPERS FUNERAL HOME IN CHARGE HISTORICAL SKETCH Mrs. Maggie Corine Jenkins was born in Liber- ty County, Georgia. She departed this life Tues- day, June 7, 1966 at Bulloch County Hospital, States- boro, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Boggs. She was the wife of Mr. Jimmy Jenkins, who preceded her in death. At an early age she joined the Philadelphia Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. Whitmire. After moving to Claxton, Ga., she became a member of St. John Missionary Bap- tist Church and served as a faithful member. She was a member of the Worship Committee of the Womans Missionary Society and Reporter of the Ladies Aid Club, till the end. She leaves to mourn, two brothers, Mr. Willie Boggs of Allenhurst, Ga., and Mr. Emmitt Boggs of Claxton, Ga.; four sisters: viz.; Mrs. Annie Boggs, of Claxton, Ga., Mrs. Pearl Garvin of Savannah, Ga., Mrs Lilia Boggs of Claxton, Ga., and Mrs. Queen Towns of Glennville, Ga.; eight children: Mrs. Sam- uel Jenkins, Mrs. Alice Jenkins, Mrs. Lizzie Archie, Mrs. Mattie Bell Baker, Mrs. Christine Darling, Mrs. Flossie L. Clark, all of New Jersey, Mrs. Everlena Slater of Allenhurst, Ga., and Mrs. Louise Stafford of Midway, Ga.; twenty-nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
