TANKSLEY, Officiating Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery Harpers Funeral Home in Charge OBITUARY DEACON CHARLEY BAILEY was bom in Tattnall County, Georgia, April 22, 1892, to the late Mr. Charlie Bailey, Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey. He joined Hagan Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. Later the family moved to Qlaxton, Ga. and he transferred his member- ship to Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. On April 17, 1912, he was joined in Holy Matrimony with the former Miss Maggie Foreman. To this union four children were born. Deacon Bailey lived a very fruitful life and was a faithful church worker, serving in the following capacities: Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years. Church Treasurer, President of the Baptist Training Union of the T.M.B.A. and Clerk of the T.M.BA.. He was also a Master Mason and Finance Committee Chairman of the W.M.B.S. He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Mrs. Maggie F. Bailey; a devoted daughter, Mrs. Mae F. Bailey; two sons, Mr. Charles L. Bailey, and Mr. Johnnie L. Bailey; a sister, Mrs. Sallie A. Macon all of Claxton, Ga.; a brother, Mr. Eddie Bailey, Savannah, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Earlean Bailey; a brother-in-law, Mr. Holbrook Foreman, Lake Wales Fla.; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be no more pain; for the former things are passed away.
