Washington D.C. Wednesday Morning Mar [March] 2nd 1859 
My Dear Julia,
After I wrote you yesterday I recd [received] your two letters of last Thursday & Saturday. There is an unaccountable irregularity in the mails I have written you every day since you left with [illegible text] two exceptions, they are necessarily short as They are written in my seat under all the interruptions & harrassments of the closing scenes of the session. You asked me about Molly Brights wedding I went there for 10 minutes saw her married & left immediately for the Senate -- She looked very well & as I wrote you before sent you a kiss which I will faithfully deliver when we meet, I promised her to come down to her reception & take leave of her yesterday

but I was so busy that I could not do so. George has gotten down your curtains & is packing up, it begins to look like going home I may not get off until Saturday morning unless I can get a couple of hours Tomorrow to attend to a little out door [outdoor] business --
I am very anxious to see Sallie & the baby & will Take the first few days I can possibly command to go to see them, but you know all my professional engagements for the Spring fall within March and April & if I do not attend these courts I loose [lose] my crop, I want to see you too very much & while I would not have you to leave Sallies side, I do very much want to see you at home. Joe Sumner wrote his wife giving a full account of the boy Kiss him & Sallie for me & give my best regards to Dudley -- I send you many kisses.
