Hawkins reports that some "friendly" Creek Indians along the Flint River had their cattle stolen by white Georgians while the former were in service with the Georgia militia against "hostile" (or Red Stick) Creeks. He says that two of these parties of white men are headed by Claborn Foster and Daniel Ellis. Hawkins reports that he is confident that these charges are true, and he asks the governor for help in finding and punishing the men responsible for the thefts.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>tcc876</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Telamon Cuyler, box 76, folder 25, document 08.</dc:source><dc:subject>Creek Indians--Crimes against</dc:subject><dc:subject>Georgia.
