31st may 1813 
The two negros [negroes]  delivered by my waggoner [wagoner]  yesterday were apprehended near the confluence of Flint and Chattahoche. The fellow said his name was Fleming, his master Henry March living on Oconee. He came off last corn pulling time, his wife Phebe now with him. Their comrade Dick left them near Ocmulgee. I shall report these negros [negroes]  to the governor and request you to do so with such additional information as can be obtained from them. I paid 25 dolrs. [dollars]  to the Indians of [illegible text]  for apprehending and delivering them, which the owner must repay on receiving them and the expence [expense]  of keeping with you.
