The first statement, dated May 28, 1817 and signed by Rachel Fuguson and W. Barton, a Notary Public, states that John Fuguson left her and three children.  The second statement, dated September 6, 1817 and signed by James Barton and Thomas C. Russell, a Justice of the Peace, states that enclosed affidavit (that of Mrs. Fuguson) is a true copy of the original affidavit sent to the U.
