Carr informs the Governor that he is transmitting a letter from (Timothy?) Barnard (no longer attached). He also indicates that he will send a white man or an Indian, at the Governor's request, to St. Augustine (?) to discover why the Indians have been summoned to that settlement. Carr speculates that the returning Indians will "do mischief" along the frontier, and he requests ammunition.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>tcc694</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Telamon Cuyler, box 01, folder 32, document 03.</dc:source><dc:subject>Five Civilized Tribes--Government relations</dc:subject><dc:subject>United States--Foreign relations--1783-1815</dc:subject><dc:subject>Florida--History--Spanish colony, 1784-1821</dc:subject><dc:title>Letter, 1786 Apr. 26, Spring Hill, [Georgia to] Edward Telfare [i.e. Telfair], Governor of [Georgia] / Patrick Carr</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
